The free plan

Free is a plan, not a trial: no card, no end date, and nothing switches off on a date. It runs one live quiz, one person, and takes 50 completed responses a calendar month, with the Sondr credit on the quiz. Drafting with AI and custom domains are on the paid tiers.

Where paid plans are metered on what you have — quizzes and seats — Free is metered on what it uses, because that is the cost that would otherwise grow without limit. Only completed responses count; a run nobody finishes costs nothing.

At 50 responses the quiz stops accepting new ones until the 1st of the next month, and says so to anyone who tries. You are told in-app at 40 and again when the cap is reached — upgrading lifts it immediately, and nothing already collected is affected.

The trial

Fourteen days on any paid plan, no card. Everything works during the trial, including publishing and collecting leads. When it ends, quizzes go offline and leads are hidden until a subscription starts — nothing is deleted.

What you pay for

On the paid tiers: live quizzes and Maker seats. Not leads, not traffic, not respondents — a good month costs the same as a bad one. Yearly billing takes 20% off. Free is the exception, and is metered on responses instead.

Changing plan

Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades are checked first: if the plan you are moving to has fewer slots or seats than you are using, Sondr tells you exactly what has to go before the change can happen, rather than silently switching a quiz off.

Invoices and cards

Every invoice is listed under Settings → Billing with its date, amount and status, and a link to the PDF from Stripe. The card on file shows brand, last four digits and expiry — full numbers never reach Sondr.

If a payment fails

Stripe retries. While the subscription is past due, access is paused: quizzes go offline and leads are hidden. The owner is emailed once per lapse and sees a notice in the app. Updating the card restores everything immediately — no support ticket, nothing recreated.

Cancelling

Two clicks, no notice period, no call. The subscription runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Your leads remain exportable, and starting a subscription again brings quizzes and leads back exactly as they were.
