Troubleshooting

The handful of things that actually go wrong, and what each one means.

Check spam first. The link is single-use, so an old one in your inbox will not work — ask for a new one. If your company filters unknown senders, allow-list our sending domain.

It is unpublished, archived, or the workspace's access is paused for a lapsed subscription or an expired trial. A respondent is never told which — they should not learn about your billing.

Publishing is blocked

Pre-flight found something: a question with fewer than two answers, bands that do not cover 0–100, a band with no result copy, or no free quiz slot on your plan. The panel names the specific failure.

The embed shows nothing

The quiz must be published, and the script tag must be present on the page — the div alone does nothing. Check that the URL in data-sondr-quiz is the public quiz link, not the builder link from your dashboard.

Leads are not arriving by email

Check Settings → Lead delivery: the recipient list may be empty, or set to a daily digest rather than every lead. Partial responses never trigger alerts.

Someone answered but there is no lead

If the quiz asks for email after the score, a respondent can see their result and leave without giving one. That run is stored as a completion without contact details — visible in the quiz's analytics, absent from Leads.

A score looks wrong

Open the lead: it shows the arithmetic, question by question, including weights and the version of the quiz answered. Scores are not recalculated when you edit a quiz, so an old lead keeps the score it was actually given.
